First Bake of the Season

I’ve made my first cake for 2010 and I think it turned out pretty well! Take a look:

I’m usually a fan of ribbon, but the buttercream dots really fit in with this theme. The cake had a 6“ and a 10” layer, one of funfetti and the other chocolate. It was definitely a fun confection to make, and it looked amazing when we got to set it at the reception:
