Planning a wedding is quite an engaging process. Planning out your cake, on the other hand, is a simple process. You decide how much you want to be involved with the planning; if you just want a big beautiful confection, I'll sort out the details. Or, if you want everything just so, I'll be happy to oblige.

Below I've made a brief guide to making your cake. Along with each step I include some price estimates for cost comparison; they will vary for your cake but will rarely be higher than in the tables. I would be happy to give you a quote for a cake - there's no need for you to calculate all the costs out, unless you really want to.

First of all, you'll want to choose the shape of your cake.

Next, you need to know how much cake to get.
Servings
If you know about how many people will be munching on your confection, you can just tell me to make enough for that many people. I'll handle the rest!

Size
Even if you don't know exactly how many servings to get, perhaps you can say what size and how many layers you want your cake to have.

There are two main types of frosting I use. There is butter cream, which is 100% edible and delicious. Or you can cover your cake with fondant, which is stiff stuff and not too tasty, but it does make a cake look smooth. It also won't ever melt, which butter cream frosting can sometimes do. Of course, I'll put a little normal frosting under the fondant for eating, too.

Now that we've got your basic cake together, it's time to make it art. The most common decorations I use are ribbon and fresh flowers.
